Self-Care is Mandatory

We no longer live in a world that is care-free and easy. There is plenty of chaos in the daily news. It’s enough to spike your blood pressure with just one headline. And the headlines are aiming for the shock value and shower down like rain.

I am finding it more important to find outlets to manage my life because we are all on the verge of burnout, even with the best stress relief strategies. Self-care is the stress management. I have an entire arsenal of things I do to manage my stress. Everything from meditation, fitness, food, books, pedicures, and vacations. My favorite is massage. I love massage because it’s so effective at helping you get back in touch with your body, be present, and reset your nervous system. It’s the ultimate way to sit still and let go.

What you put into your body is of equal importance. Are you eating nutrient dense food? Eating healthy food can be impactful on your overall health and well-being. It’s also important to make sure other inputs are healthy. Limiting screen time, social media, and the news can be forms of self-care.
